Sikas had always had a passion for music from an early age, first learning the electric guitar, and then progressing more recently onto Deejaying. Having purchased his first set of decks at 16 it was merely a hobby in the craft and having good feeling in mixing records together seamlessly, going from one to another without people noticing.
In summer 2004 he got his first exposure on the decks filling in for the DJ occasionally when he was a barman at the time, often drawing more of a crowd than the regular DJ. On returning back to the UK and developing more of a taste through experiencing positive reactions from the crowd at friends parties, he packed in his job as a Bars manager to pursue his dream of making being a DJ, his career. Flying off to kavos in the hope of work, he held a residency at Memphis Bar, and also appeared at Empire on two occasions. Kavos though wasn't for him, and through a contact, he was employed as resident at B.E.D in sidari (www.bedbar.gr) by far the most prestigious bar in the resort. After returning to the UK again he promoted nights in Cambridge under 'Poundog Promotions' and set up his own mobile disco service 'Shotgun Discos' for the busy Christmas period ahead. In the new year he went onto hold residencies at BrB Bar (The Cow) Thursdays, Shotz Nightclub Fridays Bi-Monthly, Bar Absolut once a month on a Friday and NU Nightclub Saturdays. Through contacts he also appeared at Sadans in London, and through good luck he also headlined at The Loft in Leeds.
( www.theloft.uk.com ) some of the previous headliners in earlier weeks had been Brandon Block, Sonique, and Tom Novy.
Being invited over to Malia for the summer, the attraction of the sunshine and seeking to take his deejaying to the next level, he went, appearing at Bar 1, The Lick and doing beach parties at Pleasure Beach and was then invited to reside at Factory in ( www.malia.co.uk/factory ) to make up the 'Godfathers Of House'. Later he held residencies at Yiasou, Paprika (www.malia.co.uk/paprika) and lastly Big Ben.
He is also has a live performance featured on MaliaTV.co.uk here
(http://www.videokriti.com/video/video/show?id=1451783%3AVideo%3A2532)
Whilst in Malia he warmed up for Hed Kandi nights at Paprika (club AM), warmed up for DJ Strong (Da Bomb Squad) and MC Kie (sparks n kie).
Through his experience he has developed a very versatile and energetic style, being able to turn his hand to any musical genre and feeding off the vibes and spontaneous feedback he's able to play to any crowd. He has achieved an incredible amount in what would take the average DJ perhaps twice as long, he has a deep understanding and passion for music and an instinct to make people dance. A very talented young individual.
