Juma also Known as Onax, has taken his music to the mainstream level. In 2000 Onax and his cousin thomas started as local djs playing at basements, house parties and various local venues.Dj Onax became co-founder of DISTURBINS CREW. Shortly after that and began bringing out the hottest hits from reggae, dancehall, hip hop, R&B, African music and much more to party venues everywhere and anywhere. Growing up watching Jam Master Jay and Funkmaster Flex inspired Onax to explore how he could bring music and Djing to people; in his very own unique style. He is always awed by how these two great icons of music rocked the music, crowd and their connection with their audience.

Born with the name Richard Angelo Okot most people knew him as Juma and now Onax. Born in Khartoum, Sudan on march.31.1986; Onax and his family moved around most of his childhood. Until the family finally settled down in Portland, Maine in the early fall of 1999. On Feberary 10th 2008, God's greatest gift on Earth was born, Amirah Lani Ogweta; his daughter and utmost pride &joy.

Dj onax is a very outgoing person. He enjoys the company of others. Anyone who has come in contact with him; can say without any doubts that he has a big heart, and an even bigger smile. One of his goals in life is to take over the title of being the biggest dj alive. Its a very ambitious goal, but shoot for the stars and you'll land on the moon; this is phrase that Onax lives by. He has taken his love of music to the highest level, and plans on beating his own record. Onax's biggest influences are Bob Marley n Jam Master Jay, which is what encouraged him to officially become a Dj in 2001. He caught on very quickly because of his passion for it. After a short amount of time he felt comfortable enought to start playing live in front of people. Onax is well known today because of his talent,professionalisim and great personality. As of today Onax has worked with mainstreem artists such as as SERANI,BUGLE,DINGDONG,KEVIN LYTTLE,REDCAFE and many more to come. Onax has love and respect for every element of hip hop,dancehall and reggae but the one that has captured his heart and soul is DJing and you can see and feel that passion through his music.
